Chris Murphy, Executive Chef / Operating Partner
Chef Murphy is a Florida native and former professional boxer who has spent the past 13 years of his career working at prestigious restaurants and resorts located throughout Florida. Chef Murphy honed his craft while training at Victoria & Albert's restaurant in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where he worked for more than four years. Murphy was widely recognized with the Quarterly Culinary Award for outstanding performance and dedication to the philosophy and tradition of Walt Disney World resorts.
Chris joined The Oceanaire Atlanta team four years ago as an Executive Sous Chef. “My training at The Oceanaire has been invaluable and I look forward to growing with the concept as Executive Chef,” said Murphy. Chef Murphy leans toward showcasing seasonal dishes using local produce and the freshest sustainable seafood. One of Chef Murphy’s signature dishes is his Dirty George's Bank Sea Scallops with cilantro and red pepper marmalade risotto.
